Tex Tech Industries, Inc. is pleased to announce our recent acquisition by the Washington D.C.-based private equity firm Arlington Capital Partners.

Arlington Capital Partners has managed more than $2 billion of committed capital through four investment funds since 1999, including their most recent fund, valued at more than $700 million.

Focusing on middle-market investments in several high-growth industries — including aerospace and defense, health care, government services, technology, and business services and software — Arlington aims to significantly increase the scale of Tex Tech, which will allow us to better serve our clients’ diverse needs. Arlington Capital Partners’ focus on experienced management teams with high-level capabilities and opportunities for growth in many end markets makes this an ideal fit.

Following this takeover, Tex Tech will continue to manufacture high-performance materials, offering fire-resistant solutions, 3D-woven components, and more for a wide range of industries, including transportation, aerospace, and manufacturing. Priding ourselves on our research and development (R&D)-focused business structure and unique approach to material design and manufacture — part of what attracted Arlington in the first place — we remain committed to constant improvement in everything we do. Our team of expert material scientists work closely with clients throughout all processes, from research, design, and development to testing and manufacture. And to ensure reliable material safety and performance, our team can perform ballistics testing and quality assurance testing to a variety of standards, including ASTM, FAR, ISO, and EN.

An industry leader since 1904, our technical and R&D centers are headquartered at our cutting-edge, 260,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Maine, and we also have auxiliary facilities in Thailand and the United Kingdom. As innovators in the high-performance material industry, Tex Tech has acquired several companies over the years, including Chapman Innovations, CarbonX, and Universal Carbon Fibres, as well as 3D weaving technology from Saertex.
