Cutting edge solutions driven by research and development

In our laboratories and pilot facilities, Tex Tech’s talented Research & Development teams work with a vast array of advanced fibers to develop, test, and patent fabrics with exotic, highly useful and improved performance characteristics for a broad range of industrial applications. Among our cutting edge material advances, we hold numerous patents in the areas of ballistics protection, fuselage burnthrough-resistant materials for aircraft, aircraft seat fire-blocking fabrics, and specialized material developments for advanced composite applications. We also partner with U.S. Government agencies and other industry leaders in an ongoing evaluation of new high-tech products and custom materials, such as new reinforcement fabrics for use in the latest ballistics composites. The world is changing fast and Tex Tech is keeping pace. We’re engineering a world of new ideas, committed to leading cutting edge research & development for the next generation of high-performance textiles.

Research & Development

Tex Tech’s Research and Development department excels because of its innovative focus and unique capabilities driven by a team of talented engineers. The department has and continues to develop patents on its processes and materials. The department has a prototyping line that creates up to 300 prototypes annually. Having this line allows for quick turnaround and extensive fiber options for customer samples; the materials created can then be easily translated to full production. The department also has lab capabilities to perform ballistics testing and quality assurance testing to a variety of standards, including: ASTM, FAR, ISO, and EN.
